TOMMY BATTLE..HUNTSVILLE'S OWN PERSONAL GRINCH!!

It's been a tradition for folks in the area for the past couple of years to decorate the trees located on Cecil Ashburn Drive. In fact, it would be safe to say that the tradition has EXPLODED. Last year was certainly the most decorative year yet. I'm told the day after Christmas, the HSV Times had an article that City Hall was going to start prosecuting people because the trees were still decorated. It hadn't even reached the first weekend after Christmas and the public heard that threat loud and clear.

People immediately went on the mountain to clean it all up...and not just their own tree. Well apparantly that's not good enough for our newly elected Mayor. He says it's illegal and hopes that the citizens respect the law this year. Does that mean if you're caught you'll be prosecuted?

"You're a mean one, Mr. Battle." And to show you how much we think you're Huntsville's version of the Grinch, we're sending you a piece of coal for Christmas!
