LET THE BASHING BEGIN
I'm seeing all of these posts on other blogs regarding the decision by WMAY management to let Mike Wilson go. I'm seeing all of these posts on other blogs bashing me and my show. So, let's see if you have the courage to say it (or write it) to my face.I believe in free speech. But I have to wonder what good is any of this doing anyone at all?? MIKE WILSON - I liked him a lot. He'll land on his feet. I'll be jealous. 'nuff said.
THUMBS UP OR DOWN?
I certainly believe that women have a different idea of what a "date" is than men do. I believe that women think that if a man invites and pays for the drinks, movie, dinner, whatever, then it's a date. It could be a "friendly" date or a "romantic" date...but it's a date.Maybe this is how Oprah thinks. Or at least "was" thinking before she was the billionaire that we know and love today.I was watching her 20th anniversary flashback show on Monday. Here's what she said:Roger Ebert and I had gone on a date. . . . We went to a movie. He told me that syndication would be a good thing for my show, that there were people who syndicated his show [with Gene Siskel] who'd be interested in talking to me about it." - Date With Destiny: OPRAH WINFREY says a date with Roger Ebert changed her life. Okay, nice walk down memory lane. But I can't get past the fact that she was on a "date" with Roger Ebert. ROGER EBERT?? Again, maybe it was one of those "friendly" dates between professionals. It did change her life. Maybe not the way Ebert was hoping... I have to wonder. Did she get the "thumbs" up or down??
WHO SAID THIS??
The date was October 10, 2002. The quote is as follows:In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missle delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparantly no connection to the terrible events of September 11th, 2001. It is clear, however, that left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemcial warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.
Who said it?
JEB BUSH FOR PRESIDENT
Could it be? Another Bush in the White House? Well, not anytime soon. Not even during this decade. But brother Bush certainly left the door wide open for a 2012 run. Read it here.
