GEORGE W. BUSH - NOW THERE'S A REAL MAN

I'm serious. I'm as serious as I can be. How many times do we beg people to just take responsibility for mistakes and move on?? George W. Bush did that today.

"To the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility."
Asked if Americans should worry that the government remains unprepared to respond to another major disaster or a terrorist attack, Bush said:

"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government."

Bush himself raised questions about preparedness, after four years of record spending on domestic security since September 11, 2001.

"Are we capable of dealing with a severe attack or another severe storm? That's a very important question and it's in our national interest that we find out exactly what went on so we can better respond."

Yes. Thank you. Now let's move on. George W. will speak to the nation on Thursday night about the recovery and about the long-term plans for rebuilding.

Now isn't it time for Mayor Nagin of New Orleans and Gov. Blanco to step up to the plate and say, "we take full responsibility for dropping the ball"?

I have heard nagin take some responsibility as recently as yesterday. I don't believe i have heard governor Blanco do so.

In regards to those of us in central illinois or anywhere else in the united states other than Louisiana i think you are fighting a losing battle trying to convince us we should be more concerned with the Blanco and Nagin's failures than we should bush's or failures at the Federal Level.

We won't have to rely on Nagin or Blanco to protect or provide aid to us in illinois....we could in the event of natural disaster or attack need the federal governments response, protection, aid...so its only natural that most americans were going to be more shocked and concerned with the Federal Response and Federal/Presidential Leadership.

Remember it was the republicans that kept telling the American people that in regards to national security dems were weak. Vote Republican they are strong on national security and will keep you safe. Well National Security got an F on this one and i don't think a democrat, independent, or random person could have bungled the federal response anymore than those in charge and their appointees.

"Now theres are real man?"

still waiting to see anything characteristic of a man or any leadership qualities period.

This was a big step for him to admit error however i am not impressed...it was damage control/pr.....not his desire to be an accountable leader.

Its amazing that he claims not to pay attention to polls yet the first time he ever admits an error coincides with his loss of public trust and his polling #'s coming in round 38% approval....smacks of desperation.

George W. a Real Man?
Come on! It took him so long to even admit the govt's blunders during the situation, his "apology" is meaningless.
Say I see someone breaking into my neighbor's house, but I am too busy watching po..the news. Is my apology worth the damn if I go to my victimized neighbor a week later and say "sorry for your loss. I could have done something about it and I take full responsibility."?

btw,
the little six year boy who watched over a couple of other kids in the middle of the carnage in NO whilst "W" played his geetar, is more of a man than George. Of course, good mommie barb probably thinks that the kid was used to babysitting anyway, so what is the big deal

Bush taking responsibility while Brown losing his job reminds me of Nixon during Watergate - "I accept responsibility, but not blame. Let me explain, let me explain the difference - those who are responsible keep their jobs. Those who are to blame do not" ... . The more things change, the more they stay the same ... .

Pam i couldn't pass this up...this was in your about my show section:

While on a 2002 vacation to New York City, Pamela had the chance to visit with and watch one of her role models, Sean Hannity, in action.

How can a walking talking turd be a role model?

Allow me to pre-apologize if i have offended walking talking turds everywhere for maligning there name by associating them with Sean Hannity.

what real man was a cheerleader?

Have you dated alot of male cheerleaders pam?

Now i am sure you would say...well many guys become cheerleaders cause they get to know and hang out with the female cheerleaders.

Well don't make that assertion with Bush...as he was cheerleader at an ALL MALE high school. Head Cheerleader that is.
